- ➤ INDOT will close one lane on I-64 eastbound near Poseyville starting Monday, Jan. 5 for a barrier wall installation, with work expected to last two days if weather permits. 44 News

- ➤ The Thunderbolts rebrand as the Ohio Valley RiverJacks for a themed weekend at Ford Center. The team hosts the Storm today at 7 p.m., and fans enjoyed a Friday autograph event — a nod to the city's riverboat past — as part of the transformation. 44 News
- ➤ At the Mount Vernon Sectional on Jan. 2, Southridge earned the team title with 210 points while top finishers advanced to the regional at Bloomington South on Jan. 10; state finals are scheduled for the following Friday in Indianapolis. Courier & Press
