- ➤ Warrick Humane Society is hosting an Introduction to Fostering orientation on Feb. 14 at 10:00 a.m. at its facility on 5722 Vann Road in Newburgh + the free session welcomes anyone interested in learning how to foster animals without prior registration. 44 News
- ➤ The Vanderburgh Humane Society announced its return of the Cuddlegram fundraiser that offers a 30-minute cuddle session with an adoptable pet along with red roses + a sweet treat + a personalized card. Deliveries will occur Friday, Feb. 13; orders must be in by Tuesday, Feb. 10. 44 News
- ➤ Area firefighters ask residents to clear at least three feet of snow from around fire hydrants to help access them faster during emergencies. They advise clearing snow only if it is safe and note that such heavy snowfall is rare. 14 News
- ➤ As freezing temperatures persist, local plumbers report a surge in calls for frozen pipes today and advise homeowners to let faucets drip, remove garden hoses, and open cabinet doors for warm air—with HydroMax Plumbing available for 24-hour repairs (preventive measures can reduce costly damage). 44 News
