- ➤ Lilly Endowment renewed its support for Sacred Places Indiana today with a $10M grant to help restore historic houses of worship. Congregations can apply for planning grants up to $25,000 plus capital grants up to $500,000 until June 15 and join a free webinar on Feb. 19 for more details. Courier & Press
- ➤ Evansville emergency shelters have expanded services amid freezing temperatures, with United Caring Services now allowing families to shelter together while offering free meals at UCS, Rescue Mission, and Ozanam. - ➤ Students from tri state schools earned prizes in the Symphony of Color Art Contest, where their art inspired by Haydn's 'The Clock' was shown at the Victory Theatre on Saturday, Jan. 17. - ➤ Last weekend's winter storm dropped 12.5 inches of snow on Evansville, making it one of the city's snowiest events in recent memory. National Weather Service records show the storm nearly matched past events such as a 22.3-inch storm in Dec-2004 and a 12.2-inch storm in Feb-1998. Courier & Press
