  • The Arc of Evansville is opening new community-based locations today to expand disability supports for residents in the area. The hubs will offer personalized services to boost independence and strengthen community ties.  Courier & Press
  • On Thursday, January 29, neighbors on Evansville's west side cleared snow from Albert Street this morning by shoveling and salting the road so cars could travel safely and a family’s driveway received help.  14 News

  • Tow truck drivers from Sully’s Towing and Recovery in Princeton have been busy assisting stranded motorists after heavy snow blanketed Gibson County. Officials have issued an advisory urging essential travel and caution on unplowed side roads — efforts continue as calls increase.  14 News

  • Chicago-based indie rock group Wilco will bring their intimate tour stop to Evansville on Friday, April 24 (Old National Events Plaza) featuring two full sets with an intermission while tickets go on sale Friday.  14 News

  • United Way of Southwestern Indiana will offer free tax preparation for households earning under $67,000, seniors + disabled residents; the VITA program will run Tuesday through April 15 for eligible residents in Vanderburgh, Warrick and Spencer Counties.  14 News
  • Governor Mike Braun declared Tuesday as Eva Education Day to honor Eva Kor on the 81st anniversary of Auschwitz's liberation. The celebration recognized her decades in Indiana teaching forgiveness and human dignity.  14 News

  • 16-year-old Kaden Brown, who has Down syndrome, returned home from spinal fusion surgery when cold weather left him stranded outside his apartment; his mother called police and Officer Josh Myers lifted him inside to help. His family said they appreciated the local officer's caring support.  14 News
  • Ascension St. Vincent Behavioral Health officials today advise residents to ease cabin fever from severe winter weather by exercising, staying connected, and maintaining routines - they stress contacting providers if symptoms worsen.  14 News
