- ➤ Evansville Promise Neighborhood welcomed ten new partners, including Ascension St. Vincent & Carver Community Organization, to strengthen local health care, education, and family support services. The expanded network will boost collaboration across the community. 14 News

- ➤ CenterPoint Energy is urging customers facing high winter bills to visit its Resource Hub for help after Winter Storm Fern raised heating needs and costs. The company offers Budget Billing options to spread energy costs evenly. 14 News
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Tuesday, Feb. 3, a strong sulfur-like odor was reported on Evansville’s east side—near Green River Road and Morgan Avenue—and traced to hot water cleaning of barrels that once held mercaptan; the business halted cleaning to stop the release. 44 News
- ➤ Residents on the East Side, downtown and by campus reported a gas-like smell over the past few days — fire department tests found no hazards and IDEM is investigating further. Courier & Press

- ➤ Evansville officials plowed 208 side streets after receiving over 750 requests last week & shared the list Tuesday when students returned to school. Courier & Press

- ➤ Hopkins County Central High School's High Voltage dance team won two national championships in Pom and Hip Hop at the UDA National Dance Team Championship in Orlando over the weekend. 14 News
- ➤ Memorial and Castle will play high school basketball at Ford Center Saturday, Feb. 7. The game is the arena’s first prep matchup in nearly six years, with junior varsity starting at 3 p.m. + varsity to follow and $6 admission at the gate. Courier & Press
- ➤ The University of Evansville hosted a free youth sports clinic on Saturday in partnership with Ascension St. Vincent as part of National Girls and Women in Sports Day. The event welcomed 125 local students, who received vouchers to attend any UE women's sporting event. 44 News
