- ➤ CenterPoint Energy hosted its spring-summer Community Connect event on Wednesday in Evansville, where customers got answers about bills, meter monitoring, and rate questions; further events will take place at local venues (YMCA in April, Dream Center in May, and Boys and Girls Club in July). 14 News

- ➤ The University of Southern Indiana will conclude its four-day SpringFest with a live concert by The Driver Era on Saturday, April 11 at Liberty Arena — doors open at 6 p.m. and the band performs at 8 p.m.; tickets cost $30 for the public while students attend for free. 44 News
- ➤ USI Theatre is staging Ms. Holmes and Ms. Watson – Apt. 2B, a student-led feminist reimagining of the iconic detective pair. The play runs March 26–29 at the Mallette Studio Theatre with shows at 7 p.m. and a 2 p.m. matinee on March 29 — tickets cost $5. Courier & Press

- ➤ CenterPoint submitted its phase two rate hike filing with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, which could raise average residential bills by about $6.86 per month (with heavier usage facing increases up to $18.50) if approved. Courier & Press
- ➤ The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported that for the second week, Midwest regular fuel prices dropped with Monday’s average at $2.79, down from $2.68 last week, and it remains roughly 7% below the national price. Courier & Press

- ➤ The Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission announced that bars & restaurants may serve alcohol until 4 a.m. on March 8 to make up for the lost hour from daylight saving time. Sales in liquor, grocery & convenience stores will remain unchanged. Courier & Press

- ➤ IHSAA boys basketball sectional openers saw Boonville advance to the Class 3A semifinal with a 39-36 overtime win over Mount Vernon on Tuesday, Mar. 3 while Bosse and Jasper also posted wins against Central and Gibson Southern. - ➤ CBS Sports and TNT Sports announced an NCAA commentator roster featuring Evansville native Brandon Gaudin and Bruce Pearl — a local sports figure with deep roots. The tournament kicks off with the First Four on Mar. 17-18, with semifinals on April 4 and the championship on April 6. 44 News
