  • The Warrick Humane Society will join the Evansville Thunderbolts game (against the Quad City Storm) on March 21 at the Ford Center for the Pucks & Paws event, where $5 from each $17 ticket will aid rescue pets and adoptable dogs will be available.  14 News
  • The Warrick Humane Society & Evansville Thunderbolts team up on Saturday, March 21 at the Ford Center to support homeless pets during the Thunderbolts’ game against the Quad City Storm; $5 from every $17 ticket purchased with code WARRICK will help fund food, care and shelter.  44 News
  • The Evansville-Vanderburgh Public Library held its Spring Mini Book Sale this past weekend at Browning Event Rooms, offering over 20,000 items for $2 or less plus supporting local library programs. A second sale is set for Aug. 1-2 at Washington Square Mall.  14 News

CULTURE NEWS

  • Night Ranger will perform on Aug. 8 at Lincoln Amphitheatre as part of the 2026 Performance Series organized by Spencer County Community Foundation & Perry County Community Foundation. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. with tickets priced from $39.95 to $69.95.  Courier & Press

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Gov. Mike Braun declared Severe Weather Preparedness Week on Sunday and urged residents to review emergency plans and set up weather alerts for storms & floods. The state campaign aims to help families get timely warnings during severe weather.  44 News

  • Residents can vote for the Courier & Press Athlete of the Week for standout performances during March 2-7, presented by Orthopaedic Associates. Votes are accepted until 10 a.m. Friday.  Courier & Press
