- ➤ Ronald McKenzie led police on a very fast chase along I—69 early Thursday that ended when his car hit a light pole, flipped, and caught fire before he fled on foot and was caught after police used a K9 unit. 14 News
- ➤ An Evansville father was jailed for DUI, reckless driving, and neglect when police on West Maryland Street found him doing burnouts and leaving his 2-year-old child alone—his breathalyzer reading was nearly 2.5 times the legal limit. 44 News
- ➤ Two Evansville parents were arrested on Wednesday during a traffic stop on I-69 for vehicle defects and signs of impairment—when police found a loaded pistol and marijuana evidence, their two young children were in the back seat and have been taken into custody by child services. 44 News
- ➤ Evansville police said a woman is in the hospital after being dropped off by three suspects on Ingle Street where she was robbed and struck by a car late Wednesday—none of the suspects have been located. 44 News
- ➤ Dewayne Whitney Jr. pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter for fatally stabbing an Evansville motel employee in May 2024—he was sentenced to 10 years in prison after admitting he intervened during an altercation involving his girlfriend. Courier & Press
