- ➤ Evansville police opened a death investigation on Sunday after they discovered a young woman's body in a wooded area of Howell Wetlands at around 10:30 a.m. when officers responded to a medical emergency on the city's southwest side. 44 News
- ➤ Marcie Doty, an Evansville operations manager accused of wire fraud for stealing over $1.8 million from her employer, was sentenced on Monday to five years in prison+ she will serve three years of supervised release and pay $2,517,343.05 in restitution. WEHT
- ➤ Deputies arrested 22-year-old Jacob Austin Hille after AI-powered cameras linked him to a drive-by shooting on Sunday morning when he fired a high-caliber rifle at a woman's home on Wyoming Avenue—no one was injured even though a bullet lodged in the wall, and he now faces an attempted murder charge. - ➤ An Evansville woman, Marcie Jean Doty, 47, was sentenced to five years in federal prison and three years of supervised release and ordered to repay over $2.5 million for wire fraud and tax crimes at a property management company between 2017 and 2022—officials stated she concealed her actions with falsified records. 44 News

- ➤ Drivers in Evansville will learn about the new reduced conflict intersection at U.S. 41 and Washington Avenue during an event at Bosse High School from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday — INDOT said the intersection is expected to open at the end of the month. Courier & Press
- ➤ Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry will host the city’s first Youth Success Symposium on March 20th at Ivy Tech, where students, teachers, and parents will gather for a family dinner starting at 4:30 p.m. The event will include discussions and activities to shape a brighter future for young people and will offer raffle prizes at 7:00 p.m. 44 News
- ➤ All westbound lanes of the Lloyd Expressway near Stockwell Road closed for about 20 minutes on Monday evening as workers removed overhead signs.
