- ➤ Ben and Kimberly Mathias lost their home in Pike County when a tornado with winds up to 120 mph struck their trailer Saturday morning—knocking Kimberly against a table and leaving a lone tree that helped save them and their three dogs from a worse fate. 44 News

- ➤ An Evansville woman, Marcie J. Doty, was sentenced to five years in federal prison for stealing almost $2 million from her property management business between May 2017 and June 2022—she is also required to repay over $2.5 million in restitution to her employer and the IRS. Courier & Press
- ➤ Evansville police arrested 19-year-old Lamario Carter after a shots fired report early Monday led officers near Judson and Ridgeway Avenue—another call helped them locate his Kia Soul near Sweetser Avenue—and he was charged with handgun possession while he faced a similar felony from December—he posted a $500 bond and was released from jail. 44 News
- ➤ Evansville Police arrested Jordan Cleary on Monday near Morgan Avenue (and Oak Hill Road) after he injured an officer during a struggle as officers tried to stop him, and he was charged with resisting law enforcement causing injury. 44 News
- ➤ A 34-year-old Oakland City man was arrested on Monday at 8 p.m. on State Road 57 after deputies found drugs and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on a white 2000 Chevy Blazer—he faces charges of meth possession, paraphernalia possession and operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was taken to Gibson County Jail. 44 News

- ➤ Officials said today the Grimes Avenue Transfer Station in Daviess County accepts asphalt shingles and roofing components after weekend storms—helping residents dispose of storm debris. The station is open Monday–Friday from 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon. 14 News
