- ➤ The jury trial for Dailand Bailey (accused of attempted murder in connection with a 2023 shooting at Virginia Street Food Mart) was canceled Monday and will be rescheduled for May 5th. 44 News
- ➤ Fourteen people faced charges after a mid-2024 drug investigation in Evansville led to the seizure of drugs (about 10 pounds of meth, 3 pounds of cocaine, 75 grams of ecstasy, and 347 grams of marijuana) and resulted in charges for meth dealing, marijuana possession, and intent to distribute (coordinated by state and federal agencies). 44 News
- ➤ Evansville Police arrested Laura Willis after she admitted wrecking her motorcycle near Weinbach Avenue and Kathleen Avenue at about 2 p.m. on Sunday following drinks at a local bar and fleeing the scene—she now faces DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, and refusal to submit to a chemical test. 44 News
- ➤ Jeremy Moschner was arrested after a neighbor found him sleeping in her living room — Evansville police said officers responded to a reported burglary in progress before 8:00 p.m. Sunday and detained him on charges of residential entry and resisting arrest with no bond. 44 News
- ➤ On Sunday afternoon, Gibson County deputies stopped a White Honda Sedan with a Texas woman driving at 101 mph with six passengers and charged her with neglect, reckless driving and marijuana possession. 44 News
- ➤ A man (Rafael Rodriguez) was arrested on DUI and railroad track charges in Evansville after he drove his car onto tracks on Fulton Avenue near Ohio Street (he claimed his friend was driving) while officers noted he smelled of alcohol and was visibly intoxicated. 44 News
- ➤ Evansville Police responded to a shots fired call just after 10 p.m. on Sunday near Lodge Avenue and Taylor Avenue and arrested three men—Justin McMorris, Stephan Luckett and William Brotherton—for outstanding warrants after finding shell casings and firearms, and the investigation is ongoing.
