- ➤ Evansville man Zachary Wagner, 23, was charged in connection with Terry Thornton’s fentanyl overdose death after police found text messages linking him to drug dealings on Tekoppel Avenue on January 28 — he was scheduled for a court appearance Tuesday at 1 p.m. WEHT
- ➤ A Texas woman, Aniya Ivory, was arrested after a Gibson County deputy clocked her at 101 mph on I-69 while her five-seat car carried six passengers—she faces charges for marijuana possession, neglect of a dependent and reckless driving. 44 News

- ➤ Officials in Warrick County advise residents to prepare for heavy rain by cleaning drains, checking sump pumps, and securing outdoor items. Local agencies are handing out sandbags and urging those in flood-prone areas to evacuate if needed — they also recommend having backup power and emergency supplies. 44 News

- ➤ INDOT announced that alternating lane closures on I-69 near the I-64 interchange will begin on or around April 7 in Vanderburgh County—these closures between the 19 and 21 mile markers will allow crews to install overhead signs and are expected to last through the end of June depending on weather. Drivers are urged to slow down and drive carefully in the work zone. WEHT
- ➤ Evansville City Council President Ben Trockman announced a town hall on the eastside that will be held at McCollough Library on April 5 at Noon. The meeting will focus on current issues and neighborhood goals as officials from public safety, water and sewer, and engineering are set to speak — residents are encouraged to attend. 44 News
