COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ Severe weather has left under 3,000 people in our Indiana counties without power—a drop from a peak of over 24,000 outages—and crews are still working to repair damage. In Kentucky, a few hundred people, mostly in Muhlenberg County, remain without power. 14 News
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ First responders arrived yesterday at a three-vehicle crash at Morgan Avenue and Boeke Road that blocked one lane on Morgan eastbound and all lanes on Boeke—no injuries have been reported yet. 14 News
- ➤ University officials reported that a sinkhole formed on Weinbach Ave near the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity south of the Lloyd Expressway — crews said the hole measures about three feet wide and four feet deep and advised campus members to avoid the area until further notice. 14 News
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Authorities in Evansville are investigating the death of a 46-year-old jail inmate who was found unresponsive in his cell and later pronounced dead at Deaconess Midtown — an autopsy is scheduled for next week. 14 News

- ➤ The Excel Center, run by Evansville Goodwill, held its first graduation ceremony today where adult students earned high school diplomas despite juggling work and family challenges. The center offers flexible schedules (life coaching and childcare help) to give students a second chance at education. 14 News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Sheriff Noah Robinson said severe flooding closed 20 roads and 7 additional routes—Evansville Fire Department completed one water rescue Thursday night. He added that farmers lost several grain elevator barns—dozens of homes were damaged and the Ohio River will crest at 46 feet on April 10. 14 News
