- ➤ Firefighter/EMT Beth Braden, who died March 19 after a battle with cancer, was honored with a celebration of life at New Hope Community Church in Newburgh on Saturday; the Newburgh Volunteer Fire Department shared video & audio of her final call over dispatch. 14 News
- ➤ Mother’s Holdin’ It Down Incorporated launched its Inner-City basketball league’s 12th season today at the C.K. Newsome Center, featuring 278 kids and 22 coaches. The program will hold games every Sunday until Memorial Day with a two-day tournament planned for June. 14 News

- ➤ Sounds of Summer will close Lincoln Amphitheatre’s 2026 season on Oct. 4 with a Beach Boys tribute concert that also ends the Sunday Amp Unplugged series. General admission costs $19.95 and children 12 and under attend free. Courier & Press
- ➤ The Wall That Heals, a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, visits USI as a free, 24-hour exhibit honoring Vietnam veterans from Oct. 29 to Nov. 1. Parked at the Broadway Recreational Complex, visitors can create name rubbings and view digital displays. Courier & Press

- ➤ Dads in Evansville are learning hairstyling basics for their daughters in the first class at Parlour Barbershop on West Franklin Street today. The series includes four monthly sessions, with participants receiving a kit containing a hairbrush + comb and detangling spray + hair ties. 14 News
