- ➤ PAAWS volunteers introduced AJ, a gentle 4-year-old German Shepherd, at the 44News studio on Friday, Apr. 17. Evansville Animal Control said he spent most of his life outdoors and would adapt best to a home with a fenced yard. 44 News
- ➤ Crews wrapped up work at Lloyd Expressway and Schutte Road this afternoon, so the intersection is open while a closure begins at Felstead Road and work continues at Boehne Camp in preparation for the new Lloyd4U traffic flow. 14 News
- ➤ Eastland Mall officials named Autism Everyone as its Nonprofit of the Month for April in line with Autism Acceptance Month. The nonprofit will present in-mall displays and host a meet-and-greet on Apr. 25 near Center Court. 44 News

- ➤ On Friday night, the 14 News team won 6 awards at the Society of Professional Journalists’ Indiana Chapter ceremony. Mitch Carter, Emma Beck, Emily Hicks and Emma Gefter earned second prizes in criminal justice, medical and feature reports and third awards in general news, videography and business reporting (differing categories). 14 News
- ➤ Henderson’s Tri-Fest kicked off Friday in Main Street with dozens of rides, carnival games, food booths, and a drone show replacing fireworks at 9 p.m. Live performances featured Hannah and Harper Todd at 5:30 p.m. in Central Park plus The Refugees at 7 p.m., and the event runs through Sunday. 14 News
- ➤ Christian rock singer Zach Williams will perform at the Old National Events Plaza as part of his Revival Nights Tour on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, Apr. 24 at 12 p.m. 14 News

- ➤ First responders from Ascension St. Vincent and Warrick County showed Castle High School students what can happen with poor prom night choices by staging a realistic mock accident and airlift demonstration. Two more sessions will be held next week at Boonville and Tecumseh High Schools. 14 News
