ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Firefighters responded to a structure fire this Saturday morning at 455 Shamrock Court in a local apartment complex, displacing three families + causing water and smoke damage while officials investigate the cause.  44 News

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Evansville Wartime Museum is hosting an event today to honor America’s 250th birthday with historical re-enactors, crafts, and interactive displays for kids. The museum will also sponsor a 5K on the Runway to support preservation of its World War 2 P-47 Thunderbolt.  14 News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The University of Evansville honored alum Zerah Priestly Carter by dedicating a bench on campus for her contributions to education. The ceremony featured remarks from her nephew and UE African American Alumni Association members on the northeast side of the Sesquicentennial Front Oval.  14 News

  • On Saturday, Boonville Fire Department hosted a vehicle extraction training in Boonville, partnering with local services + Tri-State firefighters to update lifesaving techniques for handling vehicles with modern safety features.  14 News

  • The Evansville Thunderbolts rallied on Friday night, scoring three power-play goals to beat the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs 3–1 and take a 1–0 series lead with home-ice advantage — Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday, April 22 at the Ford Center.  44 News
