- ➤ All lanes on Riverside Drive are closed at Chestnut Street because a sinkhole formed while high river levels allowed water to flow under the road—repair work is paused until likely Sunday as drivers are advised to use Second Street as a detour. 14 News

- ➤ Indiana State Police detectives asked community members in Warrick and Spencer counties to check their security cameras after an officer-involved shooting in Chandler on April 21 at 8:52 a.m.—31-year-old Nina Devillez drove recklessly in a silver Toyota near Walmart, crashed, was shot by police, stole a patrol vehicle and fled into nearby counties. 44 News
- ➤ A video released by Neil Chapman, the attorney for victim Shane Hendrix, shows that a brutal incident at Chaser’s Bar & Grill began earlier this month after a dispute over an unpaid tab and left Hendrix with multiple facial fractures and lost teeth as two bouncers—Sean Shell and Johnathan Turner—face charges. - ➤ Attorney Neil Chapman released new surveillance footage showing bouncers hitting Shane Hendrix at Chaser’s Bar & Grill—contradicting employees’ claims that Hendrix threatened a bartender—and leading to the arrests of the two bouncers on April 6 that left Hendrix with severe injuries. - ➤ Evansville police arrested a juvenile after a shots fired call came in just after 8 p.m. on Monday in the 500 block of East Iowa Street — officers detained several juveniles and charged one with possession of a firearm while releasing the others to their guardians. WEHT

- ➤ Riverside Drive is closed at Chestnut due to a sinkhole that cracked the road on Feb 24—repair work is paused as high river levels force water under the roadway. Traffic is diverted to Second Street until work resumes when river levels drop below 23 feet. Courier & Press
