- ➤ Ricardo Homero Carreon Perez, 31, tried to take a credit card from a man's hand and punched him at a gas station on north First Avenue Wednesday afternoon—he was arrested and now faces robbery, battery, public intoxication, and resisting law enforcement charges. 44 News

- ➤ Grant Watson from Bosse High School received 54.5 percent of the 3,486 votes to become Courier & Press Student of the Week. He will graduate with an Academic Honors Diploma and plan to attend DePauw University this fall. Courier & Press
