- ➤ A fire started at an apartment on Sterling Drive on April 27th and quickly spread to a neighboring building—officials reported no occupants were inside but noted pets were present, and the cause is still under investigation. WEHT

- ➤ Officials said they got a call at 7:13 p.m. Sunday near Dimond Avenue and Kratzville Road about a water rescue and found a body in Pigeon Creek in Evansville — the county sheriff’s office, fire department and AMR are investigating the case. WEHT
- ➤ An investigation is underway after authorities reported that a possible explosive device was thrown through a home window on the 2400 block of North Fares Avenue Sunday morning—surveillance footage captured a dark-colored SUV that stopped before the incident and fled while investigators noted broken glass, burnt paper, and white powder, though they believe the object was fireworks.
