- ➤ In a few weeks a community walk will support area groups including Habitat for Humanity of Evansville as part of the Walking for Dreams event. Local organizers on Daybreak said the walk will help raise support to build more homes. WEHT
- ➤ Today, the Evansville Wartime Museum and Evansville Regional Airport host the 5K on the Runway starting at 8:30 a.m.—the event features a Kid's Dash Run, a one-mile walk, vendors, community programs, and photo opportunities with a tank and a P-47 plane. 14 News

- ➤ Officer Anthony Stephenson turned himself in on Friday after he was reported to have pointed a non-issued firearm at an officer during an off-duty celebration at the Fraternal Order of Police on Sunday — he now faces charges of Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon and awaits a review by the Police Merit Commission. 14 News
- ➤ An Evansville police officer, identified as 27-year-old Anthony Dale Stephenson, was placed on leave and arrested Friday for allegedly pointing a handgun at a fellow officer while intoxicated at a police lodge event — he secured his release on $500 bond and now faces a charge of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon while the Police Merit Commission reviews his status. - ➤ The Spencer County Sheriff’s Office warns residents that scam callers are claiming they missed jury duty and must pay fines with gift cards or wire transfers—officials urge anyone receiving such a call to hang up and contact the sheriff’s office immediately. 14 News

- ➤ ShrinersFest in Downtown Evansville started yesterday at 4 p.m.—Riverside Drive closed as an opening ceremony, food trucks, a beer garden, and a craft show got underway. - ➤ Evansville may see cold air funnel clouds this weekend as rain and a drop into the 60s create conditions that could spin weak, tornado-like twirls. The National Weather Service explained these rare funnels typically cause very minor damage—residents should report any that reach the ground. Courier & Press

- ➤ Indiana’s Department of Homeland Security is taking applications for the state disaster relief fund to help those affected by the Chandler Mine Collapse, severe weather on March 15, storms on March 19, and flooding and tornadoes from March 30 to April 2 in the Tri-State area — including damage in Vanderburgh County. Approved applicants will receive $2,000 for initial repairs and may be eligible for additional funds after a full damage assessment. 14 News
