  • Ticket sales for the Hadi Shrine Half Pot hit a record $225,000 on Saturday—tickets were available at select booth and pop-up locations—and the drawing will be held on May 5th at 10 a.m.  14 News
  • Honor Flight of Southern Indiana is returning to Evansville Airport after a day of sightseeing in Washington, D.C.—the flight is delayed by weather conditions. Local veterans and their guardians will soon receive a hero’s welcome with cheering friends and family.  44 News

CRIME NEWS

  • A Georgia man — 46-year-old Derrick Perry — was arrested by Evansville Police after he drove the wrong way on South Garvin Street just after midnight Saturday and failed a sobriety test following three drinks at a bar.  14 News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Patoka Township firefighters are hosting a rescue demonstration outside the USDA-Gibson County Farm Service Agency to show farmers how to escape from grain bins. They explained that wet grain can crust over and trap workers— and only three people have been rescued in Gibson County in the last 20 years.  WEHT
