- ➤ Eighty-six Tri-State veterans returned home Saturday night after spending the day in Washington D.C. — local residents gathered at Evansville Regional Airport to welcome the veterans, including those who served in Korea, Vietnam and World War II. WEHT
- ➤ Warrick Humane Society will break ground on its new shelter on May 14th at 1:00 PM — they have raised two-thirds of the funds needed and finalized plans that include a Quarantine Annex for vulnerable animals. 44 News

- ➤ Today, a 3 year old arrived at an Evansville hospital with a gunshot wound after 26 year old Antonio Harrell left a handgun on a couch — he now faces charges of neglect of a dependent and other offenses — while police continue their investigation. 14 News
- ➤ The Indiana Police Department issued a statewide Silver Alert for 23-year-old Ethan Flynn, a white male last seen in Battle Ground on May 2 at 9 p.m.—he wore a gray ball cap, glasses, a black t-shirt, blue pants, and gray shoes and is believed to be in extreme danger. 14 News

- ➤ An Evansville Signature School graduate, Eilidh MacLeod, was named valedictorian at Columbia College for the 2025 graduation and earns a double major in history and climate system science. She said she will return to Evansville before starting her graduate studies—reflecting a strong local foundation. 14 News

- ➤ An Indiana-based company is recalling four-count vine ripe tomatoes sold through Gordon Food Service Stores in 11 states after a Florida supplier alerted Ray & Mascari Inc. to potential salmonella contamination—no illnesses have been reported, and customers are advised to discard any purchased products. - ➤ Some packages of four-count vine-ripe tomatoes sold at Gordon Food Service stores were recalled after the FDA reported they may carry salmonella. Ray and Mascari Inc. recalled the products after repackaging tomatoes from Hanshaw & Capling Farms in Florida (lot numbers RM250424 15250B and RM250427 15250B), and customers are told to throw them away.
