- ➤ Evansville Police and Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office join Special Olympics Indiana and Dunkin' for Cop on a Rooftop on Friday, May 15 from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 850 N. Green River Rd.—donors get a free donut coupon and $10 donations earn a free medium hot coffee coupon. 44 News
- ➤ Local McDonald's restaurants donated $6,152.25 to Ronald McDonald House (via the annual Shamrock Shake fundraiser that donates 25 cents from each shake and OREO McFlurry) to support families with sick children in Evansville. - ➤ Residents can drop off nonperishable food at their mailboxes for the Tri State Food Bank's 34th Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on Saturday, May 9. Annual Memorial Day Service
Sunset Funeral Home, Cremation Center & Cemetery (1800 St. George Road, Evansville) will hold its annual Memorial Day Service on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 10 a.m. The service, which is open to everyone, will be conducted by Charles Denby VFW Post #2953, who will lead the ceremony and read aloud the names of every veteran interred at Sunset over the past year.
