- ➤ University of Evansville senior Jude Nguyen is offering free haircuts downtown to build community connection (he has completed about 40 cuts over the past two months) while balancing school and track commitments. 44 News
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Ivy Tech Evansville will graduate more than 1,530 students today at 7 p.m. at the Ford Center. The ceremony features 653 honors graduates, nearly 100 nursing students, and early college achievers with guest speaker Matthew Nix and student speaker Hilary Salas. Courier & Press
- ➤ The University of Evansville will hold its 168th spring commencement this Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Ford Center with awards for outstanding senior, outstanding teacher and two honorary degrees to be presented alongside remarks by school officials and a senior keynote speaker. Courier & Press
- ➤ The University of Southern Indiana is holding five commencement ceremonies at Liberty Arena today and tomorrow to honor 1,649 graduates from the Class of 2026, including one receiving an honorary degree — featuring scheduled addresses by notable alumni. Courier & Press

Annual Memorial Day Service
Sunset Funeral Home, Cremation Center & Cemetery (1800 St. George Road, Evansville) will hold its annual Memorial Day Service on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 10 a.m. The service, which is open to everyone, will be conducted by Charles Denby VFW Post #2953, who will lead the ceremony and read aloud the names of every veteran interred at Sunset over the past year.
