- ➤ On Monday, three women were arrested after they assaulted and robbed a woman at a local park—police said the attackers stole her phone and keys and left her with a broken finger and possible broken nose. 44 News
- ➤ Evansville police are investigating a fatal shooting on Sweetser Avenue after a 911 caller reported intruders in a home on Tuesday around 1:45 p.m.—the shooter fired under Castle Doctrine while two suspects fled on foot. Courier & Press
- ➤ A 16-year-old boy accused of murdering 19-year-old Dalton Collins in a drug deal gone wrong was arrested in Evansville and set on a $100,000 cash bond—he also faces robbery charges and an early trial near the end of the month. 14 News

- ➤ The Evansville Wartime Museum is hosting a special exhibit honoring the Salvation Army's Donut Lassies until June 16. The traveling display from the Salvation Army Central Territory Museum shows how these women fried up to 9,000 donuts daily for troops during World War I—presented as part of National Salvation Army Week from May 12 to May 18. 44 News

- ➤ Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry provided an update on reforms at Animal Care & Control driven by community feedback, detailing a foster-to-adopt program for same-day adoptions, revised vaccine protocols and enhanced cleaning practices (with penalties for non-compliance).
