- ➤ Yesterday, Evansville police & Vanderburgh County Deputies organized 'Cop On A Rooftop' at Dunkin’ off North Green River Road, offering free donuts and coffee in exchange for donations that supported Special Olympics Indiana. The event raised over $125,000 to benefit 20,000 athletes. 14 News
- ➤ Phyllis Pohl, a retired music teacher from Princeton, turns 100 today at the Evansville Protestant Home (she raised two children in Oakland City) and shows no signs of slowing down. 14 News
- ➤ Sunset Funeral Home will hold its annual Memorial Day Service to honor fallen veterans on Monday, May 25 at 10 a.m. at the Chapel of Peace (the ceremony includes reading names of veterans interred since last Memorial Day) and will move indoors if rain occurs. 44 News

- ➤ Evansville’s 6th annual River City Pride Festival and Parade will take over Main Street on Saturday, June 6; the parade begins at noon and the festival opens at 1 p.m. with drag performances, live music, food trucks + local vendors expected to boost downtown activity. 44 News

- ➤ Officials at Oakland City University say over 100 employees missed their bi-weekly paychecks last week due to banking issues but will be paid within a day or two. Some employees have stopped working until payment—experts advise filing a wage claim with the Indiana Department of Labor if needed. 14 News

- ➤ PAAWS volunteers brought Ruby to the 44News studio during Furry Friend Friday, where the 3-year-old mixed breed at Animal Control is known to get along with children and other pets. Ruby is available for adoption through local channels. 44 News

- ➤ OCU listed two properties three days ago — the Wilder Center at 903 W. Morton Street, housing the police department and priced at $299,500, and another building at 410 W.
