  • Brick Depot opened its new LEGO resale store today at the corner of the Lloyd Expressway and Highway 2-61 (behind Huck’s) with a grand opening that features prizes, giveaways, and community builds, and the celebration continues through the weekend with special gift bags for the first 125 visitors.  14 News

CRIME NEWS

  • Thieves stole copper wiring from a food trailer at the local animal rescue's new center, prompting the shelter to file a police report—witnesses are urged to provide any information to police.  14 News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Castle High School held its commencement at Ford Center on Saturday, May 16; graduates received diplomas & honors for their academic achievements during the ceremony.  Courier & Press

HEALTH NEWS

  • At Huck’s Convenience Store on U.S. 41 + State Road 168 in Fort Branch, first responders attended to a 40-week pregnant woman who delivered her baby in her car around 4:30 p.m. Friday; both mother and child were taken to the hospital for checkups.  14 News

    Sunset Funeral Home, Cremation Center & Cemetery (1800 St. George Road, Evansville) will hold its annual Memorial Day Service on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 10 a.m. The service, which is open to everyone, will be conducted by Charles Denby VFW Post #2953, who will lead the ceremony and read aloud the names of every veteran interred at Sunset over the past year.
