- ➤ The Evansville Philharmonic unveiled its star-packed 2026–27 season today—featuring classical and pop concerts, a live screening of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, and special youth and holiday events. The season opens Sept. 19 at Victory Theatre with performances including trumpeter Arturo Sandoval. Courier & Press

- ➤ AAA reports Indiana’s gas prices are the nation’s lowest, with Evansville drivers paying about $3.89 per gallon today as nearby Henderson sees $4. Governor Mike Braun suspended the gas & excise tax until June 7 and may extend it up to 60 days. 14 News

- ➤ Three local middle school students advanced after winning the region’s first Civics Bee held Apr. 30 at Shanklin Theatre (University of Evansville campus). They will compete in the Indiana State Finals on Jun. 23 in Indianapolis. 44 News

- ➤ Ascension St. Vincent will partner with the American Red Cross Southwest Indiana to host a community blood drive at Manor Auditorium on June 4.
