- ➤ City officials said Lorraine and Rochelle-Landers Pools will open tomorrow at 11 a.m. while Mosby Pool’s opening is delayed because a combustion pump and fabricated piping broke; repairs are expected to finish this weekend (with the health department testing the water) so the pool can open on Saturday, June 7. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Officials confirmed a shooting on South Scottsdale Drive in Haubstadt today around 8:30 p.m.—three people died, one remains in critical condition, and one suspect was taken into custody at 9:30 p.m. 14 News

- ➤ Evansville Day School received a $20,000 grant from the Efroymson Family Fund to boost its creative tools by buying new cameras, video equipment, a school-wide PA system + a creative suite subscription for students. 44 News

- ➤ Indiana Governor Mike Braun signed two key public safety bills this week to raise penalties for fentanyl and domestic violence offenses and introduce measures to boost Hoosier protection. Senate Enrolled Act 324 increases punishments for the crimes—House Enrolled Act 1014 adds further public safety provisions. 44 News
- ➤ Officials say the intersection at New Harmony Road and Petersburg Road will be closed from June 9 until October 31 for reconstruction. Crews will widen the road and set up detours on Browning Road, Baseline Road and Kansas Road — work may be delayed if the weather is bad. 14 News
