- ➤ A 19-year-old Warrick County woman was arrested Thursday at St. Vincent Hospital after police found improvised incendiary devices in her bag & at her home, and she reportedly planned to set them off at her previous high school & has been booked into Vanderburgh County jail. Courier & Press
- ➤ A 77-year-old man from Haubstadt, Patrick John Waite, allegedly fatally shot three people and wounded a fourth at his Scottsdale Drive home Thursday night, surrendered to police minutes after calling 911, and a petition has been filed (with a judge ordering a search) to gather evidence in the active investigation. Courier & Press
- ➤ Evansville Police are asking for help finding 40-year-old Jim Crawford, who was last seen today at 5:00 p.m. on North Villa Drive — the insulin-dependent man is believed to wear a quarter-zip sweater and tennis shoes and is known to frequent Bally's Casino and downtown. 14 News
- ➤ A Newburgh woman named Ahnna Tipton was arrested for bomb-making charges after admitting to possessing multiple explosive devices and planning to target her former high school—she is now held in Vanderburgh County Jail. 44 News
- ➤ Michael Thomas was found guilty for the 2022 killing of Patrick White and was sentenced on Friday to 75 years in prison (the court ordered him to register as a violent offender) after murder charges were refiled in 2024 following White’s disappearance in July 2022. WEHT
- ➤ On May 29, Evansville Police arrested 19-year-old Ahnna I. Tipton after a hospital officer found a suspicious pill bottle wrapped in duct tape in her backpack—bomb technicians later recovered two improvised incendiary devices at her Warrick County home and Tipton admitted she planned to target her former high school. WEHT
- ➤ Police arrived after a shots fired call on May 29th around 8:30 p.m. at a home on South Scottsdale Drive near Haubstadt where three died and one was critically injured—77-year-old Patrick Waite is in custody on a murder charge while four others in the home remained safe. 44 News

- ➤ River City Pride announced its 5th annual Pride Festival and Parade will be held on Saturday, June 7 at One Main Street in Downtown Evansville & the free event will feature live drag shows, food trucks, vendors, art and community resources with the parade starting at noon and the festival running from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. 14 News

- ➤ Ivy Tech laid off over 200 employees—11 at its Evansville campus—after state funding cuts passed last month; most layoffs occurred Friday, with some continuing into next week.
