- ➤ Samuel’s restaurant in downtown Evansville suffered damage from a Saturday morning fire that affected its walk-in coolers and dining room. The owners plan a limited to-go service (12:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.) today and will launch a Go Fund Me to support their staff. 14 News

- ➤ Evansville Germania Männerchor hosted its annual spring concert today with live music, German food, and a new Biergarten dedication + a trailer planned for the Fall Festival to bring families together. 14 News
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Conservation Officer Joe Haywood found a garbage dump in a Pike County creek near County Roads 1175 South and 550 East on Apr. 25 and secured a one-week clean-up order, with the dump cleared by May 19. Authorities confirmed the cleanup was complete + praised his efforts to protect the waterways. 14 News
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Girl Scouts of Southwest Indiana hosted a free Mental Wellness Experience for girls in grades K through 12 and their families at Kramer Pavilion at Deaconess Ortho Neuro Hospital in Newburgh, Ind. Dozen groups provided hands-on activities that built creativity, confidence and connection for the community. 14 News
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Jasper and Memorial high schools competed at the IHSAA semi-state on May 30. Strong performances from local student-athletes set the stage for the state competition and drew praise from coaches and fans. Courier & Press
- ➤ Memorial won its second sectional title on May 29 with an 11-1 win over North Posey and will host Gibson Southern in the regional championship on June 2 (the Tigers ride a six-game win streak) (the team prepared intensively for a semi-state push). Courier & Press
