ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • The Evansville Fire Department reports a water main break near Stringtown School at the intersection of Mill & Stringtown Road that has buckled part of the roadway and created a traffic hazard as local teams work to set up detours and barricades.  44 News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • OCU employees have not received paychecks since missed deposits on May 8 & May 22 and now face layoffs planned for May 31 as President Dempsey said an unnamed donor will wire funds on Monday to cover past payroll, with a backup sale of the Deaconess Clinic building.  Courier & Press

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Crews will close State Road 56/61 in Petersburg today for a pavement patching project expected to last two weeks, with detours via State Road 57 & State Road 356 to State Road 257 to State Road 56.  14 News

HEALTH NEWS

  • Orangetheory offers new Premier members a month of unlimited classes for $99 during June until Tuesday, June 30, with workouts designed for all fitness levels and combining strength and cardio. This summer promotion gives locals a fresh chance to reset their exercise routine.  Courier & Press
