- ➤ United Companies and the Evansville Regional Airport Authority opened a new 10,000-square-foot terminal at the airport on Tuesday, June 3rd. The facility features lounges for passengers and pilots, 24/7 surveillance and free Wi-Fi — details that mark a modern upgrade for local aviation. 44 News
- ➤ Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry said crews cannot start repairs on the sinkhole along Riverside Drive—until the Ohio River falls below 23 feet. The river will rise to 30 feet this week but is expected to drop by week’s end, and crews will then inspect the erosion while the detour stays for at least six weeks. 14 News
- ➤ Evansville crews began repair work Tuesday morning on a sinkhole on Oak Hill Road near Oak Hill Cemetery + Highway 41 after the roadway had begun failing yesterday. The road remains closed from the cemetery entrance on Willow Road to Columbia Street, and work will continue today. WEHT
