- ➤ After a flash flood left the Next Step dance studio under ankle deep water Friday, community members came together to help clear mud and salvage the 11,000 square foot building—organizing a fundraiser and calling for volunteers. Families and students showed strong local support for the studio that many consider a second home. 14 News
- ➤ Flooding has returned to the historic Masonic Temple basement for the fifth time this year due to a sinkhole that blocked the sewer line — building manager Troy Wilson said over $110,000 has been spent on repairs as more demolition is planned and nearby Trinity Methodist Church experienced flooding. The temple will file a lawsuit against the city seeking $300,000 in damages after four tort claims have already been filed. 14 News

- ➤ Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office arrested Malik Stafford after his box truck crossed the center line on June 16 on North St. Joseph Avenue in Evansville — the truck collided head-on with an SUV, killing 31-year-old Maria Guetling and injuring her child while tests confirmed cannabis impairment. 44 News
- ➤ Javier Moreno-Garibaldi, a man from Mexico, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 5 1/2 years in Federal Prison for trafficking over 70,000 Fentanyl pills — he was arrested without incident at a Holiday Inn in Evansville — after text messages confirmed his planned delivery. 14 News
- ➤ Early Monday, Evansville Police officer Staats rushed into a home to help a man who was blue and unresponsive—he performed chest compressions while calmly speaking with a woman until the fire department arrived. 14 News
- ➤ Warrick County authorities issued a Silver Alert for 76-year-old Debra Bone after she went missing from Elberfeld; she was last seen driving a 2025 light green Chevy Equinox with Indiana temporary tag T322458 on June 12 at 4:41 p.m. on Interstate 69 near Interstate 64 in Vanderburgh County and officials believe she may be in danger + anyone with information should call 911 or 812-897-1200. 44 News
