A jury found Evansville man Bobby Handegard not guilty in the 2015 murder of DJ Shane Breedlove — who was shot near Washington and Thompson avenues while walking to his gig — and Handegard was released from custody after nearly a decade in jail.

A 39-year-old man, Nicholas Collins, was charged with drunk driving on the westside after he sped and ran a red light on Maryland Street at 4:15 p.m. Friday — he admitted to drinking half a gallon of vodka and his breathalyzer showed a BAC of .369, over four times the legal limit.

Indiana State Police arrested 60-year-old Kirk Mobley after pulling him over on Green River Road near Hirsch Road just before 11:30 p.m. Friday when he was driving 35 mph over the limit; a breathalyzer test showed his blood alcohol level was .150 and he is now in jail.
