- ➤ Kentucky State Police are investigating the death of Evansville woman Domnesha Scott (32-year-old) near Cumberland Falls in Whitley County after she suffered a medical emergency while hiking the Moonbow Trail as coroner officials pronounced her dead at the scene with an autopsy pending. 14 News
- ➤ Ohio Township firefighters responded to a garage fire late Friday at the 5100 block of Landview Drive after a homeowner discarded used fireworks in a trash can — the homeowner used a fire extinguisher and garden hose to put out the blaze, and no one was injured. 14 News

- ➤ Bosler’s Furniture & Mattress will close its doors after more than five decades serving the community. Owner Mark Bosler, who bought the store in 2018 from his brother, said he will focus on family and church commitments. WEHT

- ➤ Evansville police arrested a 23-year-old woman early Saturday on Highway 41 near Washington Avenue—she drove 70 mph in a 40 mph zone with a BAC of .236, failed a field sobriety test, and resisted officers. 14 News
- ➤ Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 53-year-old Peter Price after finding his truck abandoned off the road near Baseline Road and Petersburg Road at 5:30 a.m. Saturday when a bicyclist discovered it in the woods—Price had crashed his truck three hours earlier, failed a field sobriety test with a .158 BAC, and was charged with drunk driving and leaving the scene of an accident. 14 News
