- ➤ Madisonville police arrested Roger Brasher near Whitshire Apartments after he left the scene of a hit-and-run incident; officers later discovered he was driving on a suspended license (from a 2018 DUI) and had marijuana in his vehicle. 14 News
- ➤ A Newburgh chiropractor had his license suspended after being accused of sexually assaulting a patient when he allegedly invited her to his apartment for an adjustment and pulled down her clothing during a massage—police indicated they have no active investigation at this time. 44 News
- ➤ The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office arrested 36-year-old Cassidy Gross on Wednesday at 3:50 p.m. near East Mount Pleasant Road after finding a stolen vehicle abandoned in a parking lot—officers continue a three-hour search for a white male suspect with multiple tattoos last seen running in blue jean shorts with no shirt or shoes. 44 News

- ➤ Evansville Police will offer a free 12-week Community Academy for residents aged 15 and older starting August 12 — the fall program runs on Tuesday nights from 6 to 9 p.m. at the C.K. Newsome Center and includes ride-alongs, demonstrations and tours of police units. 44 News
- ➤ Indiana Gov. Mike Braun has launched a task force to review the state’s emergency alert systems after a July 4 storm in Texas Hill Country led to more than 130 deaths—officials say the group, led by Homeland Security and Public Safety experts with input from local officials, fire and law enforcement, will submit its recommendations by Nov. 1. - ➤ Nearly 200 large concrete beams for the I-69 Ohio River Crossing are set to be delivered starting next week and will be installed through mid-September, with four beams delivered three days a week and temporary 15 minute closures on U.S. 41 to allow safe turns. Officials said the longest beams weigh about 100 tons and measure 188 feet long as work continues on the three approach bridges. 14 News
