- ➤ On Saturday, officers from the Evansville Police Department investigated an abandoned home on the 2400 block of Joan Court where two dogs were found in a bedroom covered in animal waste and bugs—officers reported a strong ammonia smell that stung their eyes and the dogs were taken to animal control. - ➤ Evansville Police stopped 24 year old Cameron Hertweck on the Lloyd Expressway for driving 87 mph—37 mph over the limit—and his breathalyzer registered a BAC of .191, leading to his arrest for drunk driving. 14 News
- ➤ On Thursday, police arrived at the Howard Johnson Hotel on Green River Road after a woman called 911 about being shot—she said 21-year-old Treyvone Hooks met her via text, threatened her with a gun, grazed her stomach and pierced her leg requiring surgery—and he was arrested Saturday on charges of aggravated battery, battery causing serious bodily injury and battery with a deadly weapon.
