- ➤ The Vanderburgh County Fire Department responded to an RV fire on St. Joseph Avenue shortly after 6 a.m. on Thursday and found the vehicle heavily involved—no injuries were reported and the scene was turned over to the Sheriff's Office as investigators examine the cause. 44 News

- ➤ Early Friday, Evansville police arrested two men after they broke into Franklin Lanes and attempted to steal money from an ATM—both suspects admitted their plan and are now held at the county jail. 44 News

- ➤ Three open houses will assist 233 part-time and 15 full-time workers facing layoffs at Old National Events Plaza as management shifts from ASG Global to VenuWorks effective Sept. 1. Sessions run Friday, Aug. 15 from 4 to 6 p.m., today Saturday, Aug. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon, and Monday, Aug. 18 from noon to 3 p.m.—VenuWorks will also schedule interviews for full-time workers next week.
