- ➤ The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 73 will challenge Professional Firefighters Local 357 in a charity softball game on Saturday, September 13th at Bosse Field to raise money for local charities such as Easterseals and Boys & Girls Club of Evansville—tickets cost $5 at the gate. The event will also feature pitching with first responders, autograph signing and a Kids Base Run. 44 News
- ➤ Feed Evansville will host its second annual Longest Table event on Sept. 21 at the C.K. Newsome Center to serve 1,000 free meals starting at 4 p.m. CST and celebrate the opening of its Community Kitchen. Organizers will honor volunteers and sponsors—proceeds will support food programs and feature local entertainment. 44 News

- ➤ Police said Megan Sutton, 37, was involved in a wreck on Sunday afternoon in a parking lot on First Avenue and, after claiming to be high on K2, bit and pulled the hair of an ambulance driver who was taking her to the hospital before she was arrested for battery on a public safety official—she is now held at Vanderburgh County Jail. 44 News
- ➤ Three Evansville felons were sentenced to federal prison for illegally possessing firearms; Codey M. Ritchison got over nine years after fleeing a drive-through, Randy Dale Ricketts Jr. received 15 years after police found him with a loaded magazine, and Destin Jay Svestka was sentenced to over 13 years after a high-speed chase ended with him discarding a loaded pistol in a river — federal and local agencies investigated the cases. 44 News
- ➤ An Evansville man, Anthony Parkman, was arrested on Friday night after he crashed his vehicle at Pollack Avenue and Vann Avenue—police found his blood alcohol level was over twice the legal limit and charged him with DUI. 44 News
