- ➤ Evansville police arrested 28-year-old Brandon L. Thompson for setting a fire at a manufacturing facility on June 1 that caused major property damage and he now faces arson and criminal trespass charges while held at Vanderburgh County Jail on a $21,000 bond. 44 News

- ➤ City crews in Evansville patched over 12,000 potholes this year using 300 tons of material despite the summer heat—focusing on the west side where about 150 potholes were fixed each day. 44 News
