CRIME NEWS

  • A chase that began in Vanderburgh County ended with a crash and arrest in Warrick County Friday afternoon—deputies and troopers sustained foot injuries as stop sticks deflated the suspect's tires before the suspect was booked into jail with their identity not yet released.  44 News
  • Regene Newman, the former high-ranking judicial employee who misused over $125,000 intended for drug addiction treatment and youth support, was sentenced on Friday to 18 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Richard L. Young at Evansville’s federal courthouse—she will serve three years of supervised release after incarceration.  Courier & Press
