- ➤ State, local and federal officials provided an update on a large chemical fire at PBTT Corp. manufacturing facility in Newburgh on Sunday, Sept. 7—officials said the fire burned for more than 12 hours and involved hazardous materials and combustable metals—and residents were advised not to touch or inhale the ash. - ➤ Officials in Ohio Township said on Monday, September 8th that the fire has stabilized and found no hazardous materials leaving the site—residents should avoid touching any ash while experts fix issues with shelter-in-place alerts. 44 News
