- ➤ The former director of Mentors for Youth has been sentenced to 21 months in federal prison for using over $160,000 of nonprofit money for personal expenses—she made over 1,200 unauthorized purchases from March 2017 to August 2022. Courier & Press

- ➤ Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Gardens said they lost Berta, a beloved Mueller’s grey gibbon, after her health declined rapidly and she lost interest in daily activities.
