- ➤ Evansville has released its 2026 budget proposal after Tuesday’s hearings—Mayor Stephanie Terry and department heads presented spending requests to the City Council, and residents can submit comments starting September 22 at 5:30 p.m. in Room 301 of the Civic Center. The budget will be up for final approval on October 6 before it is submitted on October 13. Courier & Press
