  • Heavy rains on Monday brought 2.41 inches to Evansville Regional Airport and ended a long dry spell, prompting burn bans to be lifted in some Tri-State areas on Sept. 23—while counties in southwestern Indiana still maintain restrictions and caution was advised as more rain was forecast.  Courier & Press
