Yesterday, Bosse Field hosted the 4th Annual River City Wiffle Ball Classic where 48 teams played a double-elimination tournament to raise funds and awareness for homeless services.

Aurora Evansville — a nonprofit dedicated to ending homelessness — organized the event, which also featured family-friendly inflatables, a free kids field, and food trucks.

Deaconess hosted the 2nd Annual Breast Friends Survivor Walk on Saturday, September 27 at Deaconess Sports Park—celebrating survivors and honoring those lost with a one-mile walk at 11 a.m., educational booths, and the 'MEGA Breasts' inflatable display.

Southwestern Indiana teams and players have earned spots in the IHSAA golf state championship as Castle scored 337 in the regional—Barr-Reeve and three individuals, Abby Shires, Kate Edwards and Grace Hickey, also advanced.

They will compete next weekend to build on their strong regional scores.

Meeks Madness kicked off the 2025-26 basketball season for the University of Evansville's men and women's teams at Meeks Family Fieldhouse on Saturday, September 27 at 6 p.m. Admission was free and the first 200 fans received a purple T-shirt + activities featured a three-point contest, a slam dunk contest and an autograph session, with season and 50/50 tickets offered + local TV coverage following the event.
