- ➤ YWCA Evansville will launch its Week Without Violence on Monday, October 20 at its downtown facility on Vine Street with a Domestic Violence Awareness proclamation event. - ➤ St. Paul's Episcopal Church on S.E. 1st Street received $285,000 from Indiana Landmarks to replace its 1928 slate roof—funds that are part of a $2.4 million Sacred Places Indiana grant supporting 13 congregations statewide. 44 News

- ➤ Crews responded to a fire at CountryMark Refinery in Posey County at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday + the blaze has been contained + most crews have been released, while Emergency Management confirmed there is no public threat, leak, or shelter-in-place order. 44 News

- ➤ Stockwell Inn, a family-owned bar and restaurant on Evansville's east side for over 40 years, is up for sale. - ➤ CenterPoint warned on Wednesday that Evansville natural gas users could face higher heating bills this winter—an average of $141 per month, about $14 more than last year—and urged customers to use available payment assistance programs. Courier & Press
