- ➤ The Warrick Humane Society Youth Program will host Winter Critter Camp this winter for children with two sessions: one on December 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for ages 6 to 10 and another on December 23 from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for ages 8 to 12. Participants will learn about winter pet safety, make holiday crafts, and enjoy kitten cuddles with a pizza lunch for $45 per student & spots are limited. 44 News
- ➤ The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will return to Evansville and Jasper from November 13—15 as it stops at Schnucks locations, starting on November 13 from 9 a.m. to noon and continuing on November 14 and at Jasper on November 15. Local visitors will have the chance to tour the 27-foot vehicle, meet the Hotdoggers and receive a Wiener Whistle as a keepsake. 44 News

- ➤ Investigators looked into a house fire reported on North Baker Avenue early Monday morning & crews quickly put out the blaze with no injuries reported. 14 News
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Evansville Toys and Games announced it will expand by adding nearly 15,000 sq ft from the adjacent Bosler’s Furniture and Mattress building while staying at 3810 East Morgan Avenue. The expansion will increase their store to over 20,000 sq ft of shopping space for local shoppers. 14 News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Monday, INDOT crews closed one lane on SR 62 two miles east of Saint Meinrad to prepare for a road project planned for next year—workers directed traffic daily and the project will be complete next week. 14 News
- ➤ The Evansville Commission on Food Security will hold a press conference today at 2 p.m. at the Tri-State Food Bank on Lynch Road to discuss SNAP disruptions affecting nearly 100,000 residents. Officials say they are working to fill the gap in emergency food supplies + are asking for local support to rebuild the system. 14 News
- ➤ Today, Indiana State Police offered winter driving tips for Evansville motorists after cold weather, snow, and slick roads led to lengthy delays on I-64. Sgt. Todd Ringle advised drivers to slow down and keep emergency supplies—such as a warm blanket, shovel, and kitty litter—to stay safe by clearing ice from car windows and extending following distances. 44 News
- ➤ The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility paused shutoffs and late fees for 90 days starting Nov. 3 to ease bill stress after SNAP benefits ended with the government shutdown—customers must still set up payment arrangements since they remain responsible for paying their bills. Courier & Press
- ➤ Indiana Governor Mike Braun announced that partial SNAP benefits will appear on qualifying EBT cards today after processing began Monday. He said that full benefits will be issued once federal funding restrictions ease—Hoosiers needing food assistance should call 2-1-1 or contact local food banks. 14 News
- ➤ City officials said that 15 of the 45 groups that applied for the mayor’s ‘Forward together’ grants will share $500,000 to help with weatherization, food access and services for people experiencing homelessness. The YWCA received $12,000 to update its old computers for shelter users and the funds will be put to work in the next few weeks—just in time to help families before the holidays. 14 News
