- ➤ On November 11, the Evansville Wartime Museum hosted its annual Veterans Day breakfast — the event welcomed veterans and their families with doors opening at 7 a.m. and festivities continuing until 11 a.m. 14 News
- ➤ Bone Dry Roofing honored Oakland City's Navy veteran Susan Griffin by gifting her a new roof after her old roof began leaking. The project provided 13 veterans across the Midwest with new roofs on Veterans Day as part of a partnership with the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project. 14 News

- ➤ The Vanderburgh Humane Society urged local advocates via a Facebook post on Monday to attend the Nov 17 hearing at 1:30 p.m.—wearing their favorite rescue shirt—and to write in support of tougher penalties for 30-year-old Shayna Faye Burko, who faces three Level 6 felony charges for animal cruelty. - ➤ Grunge rock band Candlebox will perform in Evansville on March 11th, 2026 as part of an 18-show tour, and tickets will go on sale Friday, Nov. 14th at 10 a.m.—ticket prices were not listed. Courier & Press

- ➤ Photos submitted from yesterday show that Northern Lights lit the sky over Lyles Station in Gibson County — red, green and purple hues were visible in parts of the Tri-State. 14 News

- ➤ Evansville groups are fighting hunger as Gov. Braun began issuing partial SNAP benefits to help nearly 19,000 people while local organizations hold free grocery events and mobile food distributions. The Tri-State Food Bank will distribute boxes of food today at 10 a.m.—a step to support families until full funding returns. Courier & Press
- ➤ Officials hosted the LST-325 Veterans Day Commemoration on November 11 at 11 a.m. by holding a 21-gun salute, playing bag pipes, and ringing the ship’s bell 21 times — a ceremony marking the ceasefire that ended World War I. 14 News
- ➤ Construction crews will close eastbound Diamond Avenue—between U.S. 41 and Hercules Avenue—for a sewer lining project starting Monday, Nov. 17 that will last until Nov. 21. Drivers must use a detour via Old Business 41 to Morgan Avenue and then merge back onto eastbound Diamond as work continues in the Morgan Avenue area. Courier & Press

- ➤ Carver Community Organization will host a clinic on Nov. 19 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Senior Center on SE Eighth St. that will offer vaccines for RSV, flu, pneumonia, Covid-19 and shingles as well as blood pressure checks and help with home monitors—residents must bring a photo ID and valid insurance.
